Lil Ballers welcomes young athletes in 1st to 3rd grade, while the main league is for 4th to 9th graders (Players will be divided into age-appropriate divisions). It is a competitive league where scores and win-loss records are kept, but also where play time is approximately equal over the season, and coaches and refs are focused on highlighting teachable moments at every opportunity. Serving the greater Eastside of metropolitan Seattle, the Fall 2026 season runs from September 19th - 20th to December 5th - 6th. There will be no game schedule on the Thanksgiving weekend. All games are held on Saturday afternoons for our Lil Ballers and Sunday afternoons for our 4th-9th graders in Sammamish-area gyms. **3 Weeks of Training & Team Practice** Week one will be a full-length training session combined with draft day to form teams (all registrants get a spot). Then weeks two and three will be team practices to get ready for competitive play. **7 Weeks of Games** Beginning in Week 4, teams take the court for exciting 40-minute league games played at local gyms throughout the Sammamish area. This is where athletes have the opportunity to apply the skills they've been developing in practices while competing in a fun, supportive, and team-focused environment. * **1st - 3rd Grade** games are played on **Saturdays between 12:15 PM and 3:30 PM.** * **4th-9th Grade** games are played **Sundays 12 PM - 7 PM.** Game schedules, including locations and tip-off times, will be released before the season begins so families can plan ahead and cheer on their athletes throughout the season. **Please Note:** During Thanksgiving Weekend (November 28–29), there will be no league games. **Husky Day** Our athletes will have the exciting opportunity to watch the University of Washington Huskies play live! It’s a wonderful chance for them to experience the energy of college basketball up close, see the next level of play in action, and feel inspired by the athletes on the court. Coach Teddy has over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience is an expert in communication and building relationships with kids of all ages. As the Executive Director and Founder of CTB, he is dedicated to shaping an environment where every athlete is seen, supported, and challenged to grow. Since 2020, Coach Russell has been a key part of the CTB family—leading training classes, mentoring players, and teaching before- and after-school programs across numerous elementary schools. She oversees all administration, scheduling, and community engagement. She also manages the CTB website, newsletter, and social media, creating and delivering valuable content to our followers. Prior to CTB, April was a trainer for a business process outsourcing company in the Philippines, where she helped prepare employees for success in their new roles. In her free time she enjoys watching movies. ### Kay Jongko — Office Administrator “Strong communities grow from genuine connections, clear communication, and trust.” Kay supports daily operations, reports, and client communications. Occasionally we will accept kindergarteners, when they are strong enough to shoot on a standard-height rim (ten feet). Our athletes are grouped by age and skill level to ensure the perfect fit. Our divisions and classes are designed so every athlete — beginner to advanced — can learn at the right pace with peers similar in age. ### Does my athlete need basketball experience to join? CTB is beginner-friendly. We welcome **first-timers**, developing players, and competitive athletes. Coaches adjust drills to each athlete’s level so everyone grows with confidence. ### What programs do you offer? Our Spring League starts from March to June while the Fall L:eague runs from September to December, each leagues comes with: * A draft day * Regular-season games * Skill-focused practices * End-of-season celebration ### What is included in the membership? A CTB membership provides: * Weekly training sessions * Access to CTB coaches * Player evaluations, homework * Priority updates for camps and leagues Private training, camps, and clinics may be purchased separately. ### Can I pause my membership? Pausing your membership means keeping your unused sessions intact in your account. You can pause it briefly if you need to skip a specific session (with 24 hour notice please) or you can pause it for a longer period, for example if you are going on vacation. ### What is your cancellation policy? We'll gladly reschedule your training sessions or briefly pause your membership if you can't make a given training session. We kindly ask for at least **24 hours’ notice** to keep a session, except in cases of illness or family emergencies. ### Do you offer online sign-up? You can sign up for a CTB membership or request a free trial by calling or emailing us. It's important for us to communicate with you directly and get to know your player, so we can place them in the training session that's the best fit for them and so we can get them on a schedule that fits with your family's schedule. ### How does the free trial work? You can join one full CTB class completely free — no commitment. You’ll get: * A full training session * Skill assessment * Coach feedback * A chance for your athlete to feel the CTB environment After the trial, we’ll help you pick the class that fits best. ### What should my athlete bring for their first class? Your athlete will need the following: * Athletic shoes * A water bottle * Basketball * Energy and a smile! ### Can parents watch the sessions? Yes! We encourage parents to observe and enjoy their athlete’s progress. ### Do you offer private training sessions? Yes, CTB offers 1-on-1 private training and duo sessions for players seeking personalized development. ### How do I schedule a private training session? Send us your availability, and we’ll pair you with a coach and session time that fits your schedule. ### Are private lessons beginner-friendly? Absolutely. Private sessions are great for: * New players needing fundamentals * Intermediate players wanting confidence * Competitive athletes prepping for tryouts ### Who are the CTB coaches? We strongly believe that a low coach-to-athlete ratio ensures better learning and connection. Therefore each of our classes have a maximum of six to eight athletes when there is a single coach.
